Why is my business on Matchdeck?

Our engine automatically identifies corporate and educational web-sites and extracts structured data from these sites to create a profile including a description of the organisation, the names and titles of key executives, contact information, clients, investors etc.  

Your business is listed because our search engine has correctly identified that it is a corporate web-site and has extracted a profile of your business. Our profiles provide a condensed, structured overview of businesses and inclusion in our database is free.  Because our database only includes organisational profiles, unlike other search engines, customers searching our database only get organisational results, without the “noise” of news articles, blogs and other content.  Our profiles always include links to your web-site so that customers can link directly to your website to see full details on your company.

 

Why does Matchdeck link to my website?
The link arises because our engine has correctly identified that yours is a corporate web-site and has extracted a profile of your business. We are not party to any “link-scheme” and no third parties post links to our site; all data in our site is generated by our engine.

 

All links to external websites within our profiles are given a “no follow” attribute, in accordance with Google’s guidelines. See https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/96569?hl=enAs a result of this measure, we fully comply with Google’s guidelines and links on our site should have no relevance to search engines.

 

How can I update my company contact information?

As our system is entirely automated and our engine revisits company websites on a regular basis and automatically picks up new content and changes.  

If you would like your profile to reflect any new information, please change it on your website and our engine will pick up this change when it crawls your website next.

 

How can I remove my name/details from a company profile?

Your details appear on this page because your name was published on the company website. As our system is entirely automated, we cannot manually curate profiles.  We can only remove the entire profile. To do this we need a request from a senior officer at the company and correspondence from a corporate email that matches the domain of the profile you are contacting us about. 

 

My company has a new URL, how do I update this?
Once we have deleted your old domain, our system will be able to pick the new one up, in time. As our system is entirely automated our engine revisits company web sites on a regular basis and automatically picks up new content and changes. Once a month we consolidate the latest web profiles and republish these consolidated profiles.

 

My company name is incorrect, how do I update this?

The extent and accuracy of the profiles we build depend on how successful our engine is at finding and extracting relevant information from your website.  For example, company names or contact details embedded in graphic images cannot be extracted. Because automated data extraction is difficult and may result in errors or omissions we advise users to validate information in our profile by visiting the company’s website. We recommend that you leave your profile as is, as we have most likely added your full company name under ‘Also Known As’.

 

My details appear in a company changes, how do I remove them?

Our web crawler revisits every company website on Matchdeck and the profiles are updated each time our engine revisits the sites.  Because we keep every historic profile, our database makes it possible for users to see how an organisation has changed over time. Matchdeck is unique in providing a structured history of changes to organisations, based on the historic snapshots of their web-site.  

 

Your details appear on this page because you were once listed on a company website as either an employee, partner, client or an investor.

 

As our system is entirely automated,  we cannot manually curate profiles and remove specific data points.  The entry is part of the history of changes for web-site.  We can only remove the entire company profiles.  To do this we need a request from a senior officer at a company and correspondence from a corporate email address that matches the domain of the profile you are contacting us about.

How do I upload a list of companies and get enriched company data back?

How do I cancel my paid subscription?
Log into your account and navigate to accounts and subscriptions. Here you can see your subscription level and can see an option to cancel it.
